THE PROCESS

Ron Frear uses a similar process to what was used in Egypt thousands of years ago.

The materials used in this process are of the highest quality. Ground powdered glass is used to make designs between two layers of a special formulated glass. This glass is then placed on a special mold, glazed and fired at extremely high temperatures, which causes the glass to slump into the shape of the mold. The designs will not fade or wash away; they are forever sealed between the two layers of glass.

Each piece of glass is individually handcrafted, and it is both decorative and functional. When you purchase a piece made by SiOx Glass, you have acquired something that is indeed unique.

We hope that you enjoy your purchase for years to come!
